Cahill is a founding member of ethno-nationalist party The Irish People. He previously contested twice – for the Dail in 2007, and in the local elections in 2009 in Galway as an independent, but was unsuccessful.

Critical race theory and queer theory are being forced upon society as indoctrination, not education, deepening division and confusion. These policies are destroying mental health, family formation, and the cohesion of our communities.
