Biography
Canney is an Independent TD for Galway East. He was previously a Galway county councillor between 2004 and 2016. A member of the Independent Alliance political grouping between 2016-2018, he is also a former Minister of State with responsibility for Natural Resources, Community Affairs, and Digital Development.
