Francis Timmons has sat on South Dublin County Council as an Independent since 2014. He joined the Labour Party in October 2024. He is a prominent campaigner on LGBT issues, and advocates for the end of Direct Provision.
We can do better in so many areas. Among them housing, infrastructure health, education and anti-social behaviour. We will need strong voices in the next Dáil and I want to be one of those voices of change. I have a proven track record of positive change and I want to carry this into the Dáil.
There are many issues but for many it's affordable housing. Many young adults are locked out of buying a home. Even rents are too high with no stability of rent cost. I will be a strong voice for those struggling to buy a home or to rent.
The need for each person to have a home, the need to end homelessness, end hotel and B&Bs, limit the use of family hubs - and to provide real affordable homes and to meet the needs of private and social homes and necessary infrastructure.
