Biography
O'Rourke was re-elected to Leitrim County Council earlier this year, topping the poll in the Ballinamore Local Electoral Area. He was a late addition to the Fianna Fáil ticket, added just before the Dáil was dissolved.

Why did you decide to run in this election?
The constituency of Sligo Leitrim Donegal southwest has not had a government TD for the last number of years. In Leitrim's case, there has been no resident government TD in almost 2 decades.
What do you think is the greatest issue the country faces right now?
The threat to US inward investment.
What would you like your first speaking time in the Dáil to be about if you get elected?
Housing and cost of living.
