First elected in May 2019 on her first campaign for Louth County Council, she was subsequently nominated to the 26th Seanad by then-Taoiseach Micheál Martin. She is the party spokesperson on children, disability, equality and integration. She and her family are active members of her local athletic club, Glenmore AC.

I decided to run as I believe in the power of politics to create positive change. And I have had an interest in this since I was a young girl. I even took my confirmation name as Constance, after Constance Markievicz.

The greatest issue is housing and access to healthcare.

During my first speaking time in the Dáil, I want to address the importance of creating opportunities that empower individuals. This includes ensuring that people with disabilities have access to the resources and opportunities they need to live fairly and independently in our country.
