Ní Fhinn describes herself as a mother, a worker, and a long-time activist, deeply committed to the wellbeing of the East Cork community. She says she knows the "harsh realities of emergency accommodation, the long hours waiting in hospital chairs, and the struggles of living paycheque to paycheque—realities faced by so many working families".

I decided to run because real change requires genuine voices in government advocating for people not profits. My experiences in community activism and the challenges of our housing and health systems have shown me that current policies aren’t working. I want to represent Cork East with a commitment to fairness, equality, and direct action.

The housing crisis stands out as Ireland’s most urgent issue. Families, individuals, and young people struggle with soaring rents, poor-quality housing, and a lack of affordable options. This issue affects every part of society, leading to increased homelessness, mental health challenges, and a breakdown of communities.

If elected, I’d address the need for immediate, sustainable solutions to the housing and homelessness crisis. I’d call for a commitment to public housing, rent control, and protections for those most vulnerable.
