David is a businessman and the managing director of an Irish company. He is married 55 years, has 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Housing, immigration, cost of living and healthcare services would be his top priorities, if elected.

I worry about the direction the country is moving in and how it will affect my grandchildren’s future and future generations. I am concerned about the government's wastage of money and of human resources and the impact this is having on services and the future financial stability of our country.

Housing, immigrants, cost of living and the decline of all types of healthcare services are the issues that most people are worried about. People have expressed worry about housing for their adult children, and a range of healthcare issues, from access to their local GP and services to fear of ending up on a trolley parked in a hospital corridor.

I believe in a practical, business-minded approach to politics – one focussed on efficiency and accountability. I would outline the reasons when I am in the Dáil and highlight the issues that the people of County Louth have raised with me, most of which could be greatly improved with better use of human resources, better financial management and more accountability and transparency.
