Take a look at what's inside this abandoned farmhouse

This farmhouse was built in the mid 1700s but only abandoned about 20 years ago.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER DONAL Moloney has allowed TheJournal.ie to follow him around as he looks for perfect locations.

As part of one of his personal projects, he seeks out abandoned buildings in rural Ireland.

Known in the industry as rurex, it is the rural counterpart to urban exploration. It usually involves exploring the structures which have been left to go to ruin.

This farmhouse was built in the mid 1700s but only abandoned about 20 years ago, with hints of the life of the family that once lived there still apparent.
