Guns found at two Dublin houses in organised crime raid

Two women and one man were arrested in connection with the raid.

TWO WOMEN AND one man have been arrested after guns and drugs were seized at a house in Dublin.

Gardaí carried out the planned search of two houses in Deerpark Rise in Tallaght on Saturday morning as part of an investigation into organised crime.

During the search gardaí found five guns and a large quantity of ammunition. They also seized cannabis herb and ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of €250,000.

The three people were arrested at the scene and taken to separate garda  stations.

A 33-year-old woman being held at Tallaght Garda Station will appear before Tallaght District Court later this month in relation to the seizure.

A 32-year-old woman held at Terenure Garda Station was released last night and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The 24-year-old man is still being held at Rathfarnham Garda Station.
