Female Garda hospitalised after patrol car is rammed

Three men have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A FEMALE GARDA has been hospitalised after the car she was in was rammed by a stolen vehicle.

The incident happened today at around 12.30pm in Ballyfermot in Dublin. Gardaí received a call about a car which had been stolen nearby.

When the car was approached by gardaí, it rammed a marked Garda car.

A female Garda received an injury to her arm and was taken to St James’s Hospital, where her injuries are described as not life-threatening.

Three men were arrested at the scene, two in connection with the incident and another in connection with an outstanding warrant.

A man in his 20s was bailed and will appear before the courts in three weeks.

A 19-year-old and another man in his 20s appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice this evening charged with another warrant and this incident..
