“Never seen surface water like it”: widespread flooding in Belfast (pics)

Heavy downpours have caused flash flooding in south and east belfast.

THE PSNI IS warning people in south and east Belfast to travel only if necessary due to widespread flooding and traffic disruption.

The heavens opened this evening causing flash flooding in areas including Andersonstown, Twinbrook, Fanaghy, Cutters Wharf and Boucher Road.

Belfast City Council is offering help and advice on what to do if homes and businesses are affected.
