Dublin Fire Brigade find human remains in burnt-out car in north Dublin

Gardaí are at the scene.

A BODY HAS been discovered in a burned out car in north Dublin this morning. 

It’s understood that the body is too badly burned for gardaí to make a gender ID at this time.

The car and body were first discovered by Dublin Fire Brigade. 

Gardaí are currently at the scene of the incident. 

A garda spokesperson said: 

“An Garda Síochána and emergency services attended the scene following report of a vehicle on fire on the Killeek Bridge, Killeek Lane, north County Dublin shortly after 11 am. 

“The Dublin Fire Brigade put out the fire and human remains were found.

“The person’s body remains at the scene and a post mortem will be carried out which will determine the nature of the investigation.Investigations are ongoing. An Garda Síochána have no further comment at this time.”
