Investigation launched after man's body found in Co Meath

The man’s remains were discovered in Ballymaccan this evening.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body in Co Meath this evening.

The body was discovered in the area of Ballymaccan between Slane and Collon at around 5pm.

The State Pathologist was notified and the remains were removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where a postmortem examination will be carried out tomorrow morning.

A garda spokesperson said the scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.

No details have been officially released on the man’s identity.
