  • Why is he still a T.D. surely the morals and ethics sub committee should be looking at a motion to say he step down.

  • what in gods name were the people thinking when they voted that pleb in…Seriously, requesting the summer holidays be moved to accommodate him so he can watch the euro matches in the pub and then breaking basic employment laws. He is proof that during the boom any idiot could make alot of money!

  • €7k really is very little considering the amount of money he has (or has stashed away like other developers). if he wants to pretend to be bankrupt and nama bound then he surely has to lose his dail seat
they should take the shirt off his back, that is if he wore a shirt

  • I notice that in their report on this the Irish times reports his address as Clontarf road Dublin
Wonder what address he’s claiming his TD Travel expenses from.

what sort of codes and ethics has this stupid goverment got, this joke of a so called public representive,ie td,is a convicted criminal and fraudster,he currently owes 70million euro, that he managed to con his way into getting so big of a loan is beyond the comprhension of anyone,he has been fiddling the pension books of some of his former employees, and he gets a slap on the wrist,ie7000euro fine, yet he is still allowed to recieve his highly over flated TD wAge,85 000 euro, whilst us the ordinary tsxpayer have to pay this low life animals debt, this country fu@@ing sickens me to the core, its highly embarrAssing to bring my kids up in this joke of a country, all the most vunersble and needy in our society are getting hit right left and centre while all these selfish bas@@rds go around with smiles on there faces, the irish are gone soft, the likes of a few other countries would be out letting there goverments know the extent of there anger.

You know what the funny thing is? He wasnt the worst of the developers and over the years has done a lot for grass roots soccer in the country. How in ever, there’s no excuse for not paying staff pension contribution as they fall due. I understand all payments are up to date but thats not the point.

  • SMcB hit the nail on the head. It was this guys contribution to soccer that got him in the Dail! Ah sure Mick bought us all a pair of boots when we were young and built a pitch in Wexford WITH FLOODLIGHTS! This is all it took to top the poll in Wexford. Never mind the state of the country. Mortifying and I’m a Wexford man! And proud to be by the way bar this slip up. Even Jesus fell twice!

  • its not 2 weeks ago since he said on the radio he still gets over to see a couple of serie A games every year but he used to be a season ticket holder. Id imagine that if he skipped 3 trips to italy he wold have more than made up the payments he missed.
done great work for local football and seems a likeable chap but not TD material

  • Both himself and Ming Flanagan have been vastly disappointing TD’s.
