The law should penalize attackers on emergency services. 5 years in prison probably wouldn’t teach them much but would isolate them from the civilized society. Like wild animals, they should be kept in cages.

How is this news? Head down to Finglas or Ballyfermot on a weekend if you want to see emergency services being attacked.

You will probably find the youth involved were well known to police before this and have already come to attention. But nothing is done because in both the uk and Ireland we have an awful system of justice. Rotten to the core. Great emergency services and they do their jobs but when it’s handed over to the courts they don’t even get a slap on the wrist just a caution and what’s more they bill the state for legal costs. Sigh Jesus wept.
