Taking a dip in Dublin... this morning

There ain’t no protest like a freezing protest.

GETTING INTO THE sea when the temperatures are hovering around the zero mark is certainly one way to get noticed.

A group of swimmers donned their togs this morning in protest at the granting of a foreshore licence to Providence Resources in order to drill an exploratory oil well off the coast of Dalkey.

An Taisce has previously expressed concern about the potential threats to Dublin Bay, while today’s protesters say that the bay is in “grave danger”.
