Elderly couple tied up during aggravated burglary

The Co Waterford couple were threatened by three masked men who stole cash from their house last night.

A CO WATERFORD couple aged in their late 70s were tied up by a group of intruders who threatened the couple and stole a quantity of cash.

At least three masked men entered the house in Dunmore East at around 9pm and threatened the husband and wife with a hammer and hatchet before trying them up.

Gardaí in Waterford are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding the incident to contact them on 051 874 888. Officers investigating the aggravated burglary can also be reached through any garda station or via the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
