Two men seen setting fire to car after attempted shooting in South Dublin

The incident occurred shortly before 7pm last night on the Old Court Road.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING an attempted shooting last night in South Dublin.

The incident  occurred outside a pub on Old Court Road in Firhouse shortly before 7pm.

There are no reports of any injuries.

Detectives from Rathfarnham garda station are investigating the incident, but no arrests have yet been made.

Gardaí are also appealing for information after two men were spotted attempting to set fire to a black Volkswagen Golf close to the scene, something they say may have been connected to the shooting.

The pair attempted to stop a number of cars, and then scaled a wall into the Old Court Manor Estate.
