Jennifer Aniston gets engaged: The 7 most patronising reactions

JENNIFER ANISTON HAS officially announced her engagement to partner Justin Theroux, apparently issuing the final smackdown to years of weekly-magazine stories about how she CAN’T HOLD ON TO A MAN.

Theroux’s rep told People magazine yesterday that the screenwriter “had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage”.

They haven’t revealed a date. The announcement came amid speculation (later squashed like a bug) that Aniston’s former partner Brad Pitt and fiancée Angelina Jolie were going to tie the knot this weekend.
