IF YOU CAN’T eat eggs or dairy, you’re advised to avoid one or both of these two products.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland says that egg has been detected in a batch of Marks & Spencer 2 Vegetable Crispbakes, while in an unrelated case, dairy was found in a batch of Orthodox Coconut Palm Coconut Juice.
Egg is not declared on the label of the M&S crispbakes. “This batch may be unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of egg or its constituents,” said the FSAI.
While the implicated batch is passed its expiry date, the product can be frozen and so may be in home freezers.
The details of the affected batch are:
Marks & Spencer 2 Vegetable Crispbakes; Use by Date: 07/11/2015; Unique Product Code: 126298; Pack Size: 227 g
No other Marks & Spencer products are affected.
The FSAI also said today that milk protein was found in a batch of Orthodox Coconut Palm Coconut Juice.
The details of the affected juices are:
Orthodox Coconut Palm Coconut Juice; pack size: 245 ml; any batch where milk is not declared on the label.
Milk is not declared in the ingredients list, and any batch of Orthodox Coconut Palm Coconut Juice where milk is not declared on the label may be unsafe for people who are allergic to or intolerant of milk or its constituents.
