Photos: Staff at Game stores remain in limbo as sit-in continues

Staff at the 11 Game stores around the country have been holding sit-ins in a dispute over redundancy payments.

STAFF AT COMPUTER game chain store Game are continuing to hold sit-ins at the store’s eleven branches around the country as the dispute around redundancy payments continues into its second week.

Earlier this week the company’s 333 UK stores were bought, safeguarding the jobs of nearly 3,200 employees there. However none of the Irish stores have been acquired, meaning staff here remain redundant.

Staff in Ireland say they want the redundancy payments they are entitled to from the company -and that they’re willing to stick it out for the long haul.
