Man arrested over shooting of Christopher Keane in Limerick

Keane remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

GARDAÍ IN LIMERICK have arrested a man in his 30s in connection with a shooting in Limerick yesterday morning in which a man was seriously injured.

Christopher Keane was shot a number of times after being approached by two men in the car park of the University of Limerick. He fled on foot and was taken University Hospital Limerick where his condition is described as critical but stable.

A man in his 30s was arrested last night in the Limerick area in connection with the incident and is being held for questioning at Henry Street Garda Station.

Yesterday gardaí recovered firearms in two cars they searched. The investigation is ongoing.
