LEADER OF THE Social Democrats Holly Cairns is still the most popular party political leader in the country according to the latest Ireland Thinks poll published in the Sunday Independent, but we want to know who you’d like to see get a chance at the top job.
The latest poll published in the paper this weekend has Cairns at a 39% approval rating, followed by Mary Lou McDonald at 34% (up 1%), Micheál Martin at 33% (down 6%), Simon Harris on 31% (down 3%) and finally Ivana Bacik at 31% (no change).
The newly elected President Catherine Connolly is blowing them all out of the water at 47%, but she’s not going to the Taoiseach realistically, so we’ll leave her out of this.
So, putting aside party policies for a moment, which of these leaders would you be most interested in seeing land the role?
