A WOMAN IN her 20s died as a result of a traffic collision in Co Clare today.
Gardaà are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Ballylion, Barefield, close to Ennis in Co Clare, shortly before 4pm today.
They said a single car with two female occupants crashed on the northbound lane of the M18. A woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene and the second woman, believed to be in her 40s, received minor injuries.
The northbound carriageway is closed to traffic and diversions are in place, while the southbound carriageway remains open.
