Two men arrested over alleged extortion

The men were arrested in Dundalk this morning.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with an alleged extortion incident in Monaghan.

The men, aged 30 and 39, were arrested this morning in Dundalk by gardaí from Monaghan who were assisted by the Garda Emergency Response Unit.

They are being held under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Monaghan Garda Station.
