Two more bodies found aboard Italian cruise ship

The discovery of two more victims on board the Cost Concordia has brought the death toll from the tragedy to five.

THE ITALIAN COASTGUARD has confirmed that the bodies of two more people have been found aboard the Costa Concordia cruise ship, which ran aground off the Tuscan coast on Friday night.

The discovery of two further victims, who were found by divers in a submerged part of the ship, bring the death toll from the tragedy to five.

Approximately 40 people remain missing, according to Sky News.

The sad discovery was preceded by better events earlier today, when a South Korean couple on their honeymoon were rescued from the sinking ship.

The captain and one other crew member of the ship have been detained by local prosecutors, and may face charges of manslaughter.

The captain has denied prosecutors’ claims that he abandoned the ship before the evacuation was complete, the BBC reports.
