Woman due in court after €70,000 cocaine seizure in Dublin

Two other men were arrested in connection with the drug seizure in Terenure on Saturday night.

A WOMAN WILL appear in court in Dublin this morning charged in connection with a cocaine seizure in Terenure on Saturday which led to two other arrests.

Gardaí say that in conjunctions with Revenue Customs Services they stopped and searched a car in Terenure, south Dublin at 7pm on Saturday night, discovering cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000.

Two men, aged 38 and 28, were arrested and taken to Terenure Garda station.

The 28-year-old was released yesterday and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The 38-year-old remains in custody under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí say that as part of a follow up operation a 34-year-old woman was arrested and was detained at Rathmines Garda Station.

She is expected to appear at the Courts of Criminal Justice this morning, charged in connection with the investigation.
