Man arrested over alleged 12 July disorder

The man was arrested today and charged with offences including hijacking and attempted grevious bodily harm.

A MAN WAS arrested by police in Northern Ireland today and charged with numerous offences that allegedly took place on 12 July this year.

The 22-year-old man has been charged with riotous assembly, hijacking, attempted grevious bodily harm with intent and several other offences.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on the morning of Friday 17 August.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

It is believed these charges are in connection with public disorder in the Ardoyne area on 12 July.

The man was arrested and charged today.
