13 people, including baby, shot dead in Serbian village: report

A man aged in his 60s has shot six men, six women and a baby in a village near the Serbian capital.

A MAN SHOT dead 13 people, including a baby, as he went on a rampage in a village outside the Serbian capital Belgrade, television and officials said on Tuesday.

A man aged in his 60s shot six men, six women and a baby in the village of Velika Ivanca, 50 kilometres (31 miles) south of Belgrade, the RTS television said, citing police.

An interior ministry spokesman confirmed to AFP that numerous victims were found dead in two houses in the village, but did not provide any other details.

According to local media three people were also injured in the attack, including the gunman who was identified by RTS only as Ljubisa B.
