EACH WEEK, WE highlight five apps that are worth downloading for your smartphone and tablet. There are a lot of apps released on a daily basis, but not all of them are worth paying attention to.

This week features a way to get your family to put their phones down, telling your friends ‘I told you so’ and an endless runner with a twist.

Glued
For: iOS
Cost: Free

An app designed to help reduce the time you and your family spend on apps sounds counter-productive but that’s what Glued promises. Pick times you don’t want them to look at their screens, pick screen time limits and compete against your family to get the most points.

TeamViewer
For: Android
Cost: Free

The remote viewing program is now available for Android so if you want to be able to use your phone on your PC, now you can.

IKI
For: iOS (Android app coming soon)
Cost: Free

An app which lets you record those ‘I told you so’ with friends. IKI (I Knew It) lets you predict something by seeing a question and swiping right if you agree. You can add your own too if none of the questions catch your attention.

Slidebox
For: iOS, Android
Cost: Free

For those who need a faster way to organise their photos, Slidebox lets you delete unwanted photos with a swipe up and throw the good ones into albums.

Chameleon Run
For: iOS, Android
Cost: €1.99

A great twist on the endless runner game, Chameleon Run sees you playing short levels while changing colour so you match the platform you’re running on. It’s a bit short but the ideas make up for it.
