This ain’t The Office: Steve Carrell headlines this college campus comedy, playing author Greg Russo who is at a crossroads after a divorce. He wishes he was like his character Rooster, but is nothing like him. Then he’s given the chance to make an appearance at Ludlow College, where his daughter Katie works. But she’s going through a tough time of it herself, so he joins up as writer-in-residence at the college. No doubt not everything will go to plan.

Brenda Blethyn stars in this adaptation of the Barbara Taylor Bradstone 1979 novel (the first of a seven-book series), playing Emma Harte, who works her way from kitchen maid to successful businesswoman. But she’s never forgotten those who did her dirty along the way.

This Channel 4 show launched on Wednesday and can be watched back on Channel4.com.

During the Cold War, they took on the USSR in defence of the rights and freedoms of Soviet Jews … and won. Features interviews with some of the women themselves, speaking for the first time.
