Abnormal loads could cause delays on Dublin roads

The loads will be transported by garda escort tonight and in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

MOTORISTS IN DUBLIN are being warned to expect some delays on the roads tonight due to the transport of abnormal loads.

The abnormal loads, which are fermentation tanks bound for the Guinness brewery, will be transported under garda escort from Dun Laoghaire Port to Victoria Quay between 10pm this evening and approximately 3am tomorrow morning.

The convoy will travel from Dun Laoghaire via Monkstown Road, Rock Road, Merrion Road, Shelbourne Road, Merrion Square North, contra flow on Leinster St/ Nassau St, Grafton St Lower, and via Westmoreland St and the North Quays.

Road users are advised to avoid the route and to use the N11 as an alternative.
