Teenager in serious condition after being knocked down

Gardaí were called to the scene of a serious collision in Dublin last night.

A 17-YEAR-OLD BOY is in a serious condition in hospital after he was knocked down by a car on the Navan Road in Dublin last night.

Gardaí were called to the scene near the Baggot Road and Ashtown roundabout junction shortly after 10pm following reports of a serious collision, a garda spokesman said.

“A 17-year-old male was seriously injured and taken to Beaumont Hospital,” he said.

The road was closed for some time for a forensic investigation, but has since been re-opened.

No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing, he added.
