Aer Arann buys €144 million worth of aircraft and announces 50 jobs
The airline outlines a plan to double its annual passengers to over two million over the next five years.
AER ARANN HAS announced the creation of 50 new positions – boosting its workforce by 15 per cent.
The jobs announcement comes as the regional airline outlines a plan to double its annual passengers to over two million over the next five years.
The first of eight new aircrafts, at a price of a €144 million, have already begun operations as part of the airline’s ‘new beginning’ strategy.
The 50 new jobs will cover a range of areas, including flight and cabin crew, engineering and support roles and will bring the company’s overall staff numbers to 370.
Aer Arann, which operates Aer Lingus Regional routes from Cork, Shannon, Kerry and Ireland West Airport, Knock, is on track to carry in excess of 1.2 million passengers.
Aer Arann recently moved all flight arrivals and departures to Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport, which facilitates Aer Lingus Regional customers linking to Aer Lingus’ transatlantic services
