Amazing Home of The Year: Traditional country home or modern city renovation, you decide

Which of these two homes makes you want to see a full video tour?

THERE ARE FEW joys more pure than getting to look around a really beautiful home.

Fortunately for all of us, Ireland is full of renovators and innovators whose home-building projects are thoughtful, joyful and downright fun to explore. Allianz Amazing Homes is here to celebrate those homes.

This month, we have two very special homes for you to peruse — one in Kildare and one in Dublin — and it’s immediately obvious how much love and care went into each project.

In the poll below, we want you to vote for which home you’d most like to see a full video tour of. Every winning home will also be eligible to win the grand prize at the end of the year. Check them both out and remember to vote in the poll!

Poll Results:

Country Home, Kildare (21)

Country Home, Kildare

A country home designed in a classic traditional style – featuring soft-cream sash windows, an elegant double carriage staircase and refined wall panelling, that together create a truly timeless feel.

When designing the interior of her home, Arlene sought a classic, traditional theme, but resolved to plan the home room by room to allow for her evolving vision. The result is a home that combines versatility with all the charm of a traditional Irish home. This home is a perfect blend of warmth and cosiness as well as beautiful design.

Victorian Home, Rathmines

Located a short walk from Dublin’s city centre, this home shows how class and comfort can be combined in a home not far from the bustle of city life. Featuring A-rated timber frame windows that fill the home with light, a dream kitchen complete with a gorgeous wooden pantry and presses, marble-topped counters, and more.

Thoughtful plasterwork and coving give this home a sleek and modern finish that only serves to accentuate its old soul, while a gorgeous stone bathtub further highlights the rustic beauty of this home’s interior.
