ALL OF US want to make our homes as beautiful, comfortable and functional as possible, and for that we need the right interior design inspiration.

Lucky for us, there are many enterprising people all across Ireland who have devoted their time and energy to building, renovating and maintaining some very special homes. Allianz Amazing Home of the Year is all about making sure those homes get the appreciation they deserve. 

Each month, we’ll bring you two amazing homes to choose from. Whichever you vote as your favourite will then be entered into the Allianz Amazing Home of the Year with the opportunity to win a very special prize at the end of 2026. But the best bit is, we’ll work with each monthly winner to create a behind-the-scenes video for you to tour.  

Home 1: My Kilkenny Home

Luella House is a contemporary, transitional family home located in South Kilkenny. A modern take on a traditional country farmhouse, this home incorporates natural finishes like white oak and brass, with touches of blue to create a warm, welcoming feeling.

The dreamy open-plan layout of this home comes with many unique featurs, including a solar powered water fountain, a kitchen island that comfortably seats four, and beautiful panelling finishes. 

Home 2: A House By The Fairway

Also in Kilkenny, this spacious, modern haven combines both warmth and light across an array of rooms, each decorated with exquisite care and attention to detail. From its clawfoot bathtub in the master bathroom to its balcony, this home is a goldmine of design ideas. 

This is a modern family home where clean architectural lines meet soft, natural finishes. Light, texture and warmth create a calm and timeless base throughout. Moments of colour and creative paint choices add a sense of fun and personality.
