Arsenal crowned Premier League champions as Man City draw with Bournemouth

Pep Guardiola’s side needed to beat the Cherries to send the title race to the final day.

ARSENAL HAVE BEEN crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years after Manchester City failed to win at Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

Pep Guardiola’s side needed to beat the Cherries to send the title race to the final day this weekend, but a 1-1 draw ensured the Gunners can celebrate a few days early.

Eli Junior Kroupi scored the opening goal of the game on 39 minutes before Erling Haaland provided some hope with a strike in the 95th minute.

A point means City now cannot catch Arsenal at the top of the table.

It looks to be a disappointing end to Guardiola’s trophy-laden era at City with reports suggesting the Catalan has decided to quit the club at the end of this campaign.
