WE’RE ONLY A few months into 2026 but it’s clear that Heated Rivalry (available to watch on NOW) is one of the biggest hits of the year.

Based on the book of the same name from Rachel Reid’s Game Changer hockey romance series, it was made for the Canadian streamer Crave but went stratospheric after becoming available in the US on HBO.

Its depiction of a situationship-turned-love between two closeted professional hockey players – Russia’s Ilya Rozanov and Canada’s Shane Hollander – has had hearts a-flutterin’ all over the world. It’s such an intoxicating watch that fans have a word for the fervent rewatching they’ve been doing: reheating.
