Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair

Disney Plus UK / YouTube

Remember this sweet and funny comedy from the 2000s? Well, the family are back in town. It’s 20 years on from the last time we met the child genius Malcolm, and he’s now living a happy life with his daughter and his girlfriend. He’s distanced himself from his family, but then his parents Hal and Lois invite him to their 40th wedding anniversary bash… no doubt many hijinks ensue. Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek are all back, you’ll be glad to hear.

Star Wars: Shadow Lord

Walt Disney Studios, Ireland / YouTube

The latest entry into the Star Wars franchise is this animated series about Maul. It’s set after the events of The Clone Wars (the mid-2000s animated/CGI series) and sees Maul planning to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. But while there he meets the young Jedi Padawan, who could be the apprentice he needs. Among the voice cast here is Wagner Moura, the Brazilian actor who most recently starred in The Secret Agent.
