Two teenagers die in tragic fall from sixth-floor balcony during London party

The 18 and 19 years olds were at a party when the incident occurred.

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man and a 19-year-old woman died in London overnight after falling from a sixth-floor balcony.

The two teenagers were attending a party at an apartment block when the tragedy occurred.

Detectives in the Deptford area of the city are not treating the deaths as suspicious but said they would investigate the circumstances and have called on witnesses to come forward.

“This appears to be a tragic accident and our thoughts go out to the families and those that knew them,” Inspector Shaun Carre-Brown said.

Police were called to the scene at about 12.13am following a call by the London Ambulance Service.

The pair had fallen from the sixth floor of the Knights Tower building on Wharf Street. The deceased’s family have yet to be informed.
