A COUPLE FROM Warrenpoint, Co Down were locked in a bathroom overnight as thieves raided their home on Sunday night.
Four men — two of whom were brandishing suspected firearms — entered the house in Rostrevor Road at around 10pm.
The householders were threatened and forced into the bathroom, the door of which was then locked as the men ransacked the house.

The couple raised the alarm when someone called at the house on Monday morning.
According to the PSNI: “They were left badly shaken by the incident and were taken to hospital for treatment”.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information is being asked to contact Detectives at Ardmore Police Station on 0845 600 8000 or independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
