'Senseless hate crime': Second arson attack on Belfast church condemned
The Presbyterian church on Saintfield Road sustained considerable damage.
POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING an arson attack on a Presbyterian church on Saintfield Road in Belfast.
This is the second time the church has been targeted in recent days.
It’s believed today’s fire started between 1am and 1.20am.
The PSNI said the church and its neighbouring hall “sustained considerable damage”.

Northern Ireland’s First Minister Arlene Foster described the incident as “senseless hate crime”.
Inspector Jonathan Francey appealed to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity around the church to contact police at Castlereagh on the non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
