Man arrested over shooting of Benny Whitehouse

The 36-year-old was shot dead close to his child’s school in the north Dublin suburb of Balbriggan.

A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with the shooting in Balbriggan last September of Benny Whitehouse.

The 36-year-old — a member of the Traveller community — was involved in a local criminal feud when the attack took place.

He was shot dead close to his child’s school in the north Dublin suburb at around 9am on the morning of 25 September.

A 39-year-old man was arrested in in Ardee, Co. Louth this morning, Gardaí confirmed.

He’s being detained at Balbriggan Garda Station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
