WITNESSING A CYCLIST getting injured in a road collision led three students to invent a device to help prevent such accidents.
Abby Horgan, Ciara Murphy and Ciara Donoghue attend Scoil Mhuire College in Cork, and brought their device, called Bike Radar, to the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition this week.
Bike Radar uses a sensor to detect cars and warn drivers and cyclists of each other’s presence.
