Two men 'in their 50s' snatch bag of cash from woman in daylight attack

It happened in the Rathcoole area of Newtownabbey at around midday.

PSNI OFFICERS IN Newtownabbey are investigating after a black sports bag with a sum of cash inside was stolen from a woman in the town today.

It happened just after midday at ‘the Diamond’ in Rathcoole.

“It was reported that a female was approached by two males in the area,” PSNI Detective Inspector Chris Millar said.

It is believed that the males took a black sports bag contaning a sum of money during the incident.

The woman wasn’t injured in the incident but is said to have been left badly shaken.

Both assailants are believed to be in their fifties, according to Millar.

“One of the males is described as 5″10, slim build and wearing a grey/black hooded top. The other man is described as 5″8, stocky build with grey balding hair.”
