Staff at city centre hotel threatened with blade by lone raider

A man’s been arrested over the raid, which happened on Parnell Square.

A 36-YEAR-OLD MAN has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Dublin city centre yesterday in which staff were threatened with a blade.

It happened at a hotel on Parnell Square in the north inner city at around 1.15pm.

A lone raider entered the hotel and threatened staff, before making off with a sum of cash.

He was arrested and detained a short time later, gardaí say. An amount of cash was also recovered.

The man’s been taken for questioning to Mountjoy Garda Station.
