Three people arrested in connection with shooting in Dublin shopping centre last week

A man in his 40s suffered injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.

THREE PEOPLE, INCLUDING a teenager, have been arrested over a shooting in west Dublin last week.

The attack happened shortly before 5pm at Corduff Shopping Centre on Tuesday 26 August.

The victim, a man aged in his 40s, was taken from the scene for treatment on his injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.

It is understood to be linked to a local feud in the area.

Gardaí investigating the shooting revealed this morning that they arrested three people on Wednesday.

A woman aged in her 50s and two men – one aged in his late teens, and one in his 20s – were arrested during the course of searches in the Blanchardstown area.

The woman is currently detained pursuant to Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939, and the two men are currently detained pursuant to Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

All are at Garda Stations in the Dublin area.

Investigations are ongoing according to a Garda spokesperson.
