Five arrested after man's body found in stream this morning
The body was discovered in the Mourneview Street/Thomas Street area just after 11am.

FIVE PEOPLE HAVE been arrested after the body of a man was found in a stream in Portadown this morning.

The body was discovered in the Mourneview Street/Thomas Street area just after 11am.

Two men aged 28, a 30-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and a 17-year-old woman were arrested as part of an investigation.

They are being questioned at a police station in Belfast.

DCI Lee McNevison from Serious Crime Branch said: “We believe we know who the man is, but we will not be confirming his identity until a formal identification has taken place and a post mortem examination has been held.”
