GARDAÍ HAVE BEEN responding after a suspect device was discovered at a block of flats in Coolock, North County Dublin this evening.

The army bomb disposal team were also called to the scene, after the device was discovered earlier tonight.

It was found near a stairwell at the Cromcastle Court flats, in an estate off the Oscar Traynor Road, near the Northside Shopping Centre.

A garda spokesperson confirmed to TheJournal.ie that officers from Santry were responding to the alert, which remained a live operation.

The block of flats has been evacuated as the response continues.
