Bumble is bringing in an AI matchmaking feature – what do you think?

The dating app is doing away with its original swiping model.

LAST WEEK, DATING app Bumble announced its plans to roll out a new AI-assisted matchmaking feature.

The Dates feature is a shift away from the traditional swiping model used by Bumble and competitors such as Tinder and Hinge.

Few details have been shared about how it will work. However, Bumble chief Whitney Wolfe Herd said users will still be able to write their own bios and profile details, with AI operating “in the background”.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, not everyone is too keen on the idea.

“Final nail in the ‘romance is dead’ coffin,” one Instagram commenter wrote. Another simply said: “No thanks.”

So, we want to know your thoughts: what do you think of Bumble introducing an AI-assisted matchmaker?
